ROOTED: An Artist Cultivation Lab
Rooted is an intimate, monthly artist residency designed for poets, spoken word artists, and creatives who are ready to deepen their craft and learn how to sustain themselves as working artists.
Led by International Spoken Word Artist, Teaching Artist, and Founder of The Rose Garden Events, JRose. This lab blends creative coaching, performance development, and real-world business strategy. Each session is limited to 10 artists per session, allowing for personalized mentorship, honest feedback, and intentional evolution.
Participants will be guided through writing practices, performance refinement, booking and outreach strategies, branding, and the often-unspoken realities of building a sustainable creative career. Rooted is not about rushing growth, it’s about building strong foundations, honoring process, and cultivating longevity.
